Mom’s Blackberry Cobbler

At Costco yesterday they had blackberries for $5 a pound and they were beautiful!!  Hence todays delight of blackberry cobbler.  This is a recipe I got from my Mom years ago and try to make it whenever I see big plump blackberries.  It is so easy and fast you will want to make it right away!!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar

1 T butter (soft)

1/2 cup milk

1 cup flour

2 t baking powder

pinch of salt

-mix-

Pour batter into a greased 8x8x2 pan. Cover with 1/4 cup sugar .  Add berries and cover them with 1/4 sugar then add 1/2 cup HOT water. Then break apart a tablespoon of butter and sprinkle over top.

Bake at 300 degrees for an hour.  Serve with your favorite ice cream, enjoy!
